Offensive Line Film Study Checklist (What Elite Linemen Look For)

1. Pre-Snap Front Recognition

• Is it even or odd?

• Where are the 3-tech and 5-tech aligned?

• Is there a potential overload blitz side?

2. Defensive End Tendencies

Track:

• Speed rush?

• Bull rush?

• Spin move?

• Inside counter?

• Wide alignment tell?

If you don’t track tendencies, you’re guessing.

3. Linebacker Keys

• Are they creeping?

• Do they tilt toward pressure?

• Do they show blitz indicators?

• Is there delayed pressure on long yardage?

4. Communication Grade

After every play ask:

• Did we ID the Mike correctly?

• Did we pass off twists cleanly?

• Did we stay square?
